Fine Art Academy Program “Become an Artist” by Elizabeth “Schettini” Sowell Zak ®™️©, Master Fine Artist | Ages: 9-15 | Jan 9 – March 13 (No class January 16 or February 20) | MONDAYS: 5:30 – 7:00 pm (8 classes) LOCATION: MIDDLETOWN ARTS CENTER – 36 Church Street, Middletown NJ 07748
We are proud to introduce this academy-style, progressive visual arts program, created by (one of our own) Master Artist Elizabeth Schettini Sowell-Zak, MFA . Learn Drawing, Printmaking, Painting, and Sculpture with creative hands-on experience, as students are guided through the foundational pillars of Fine Art principals, techniques, and language, which is often glossed over by artists with less understanding. This program is designed exclusively to give artists strong skills , a more discerning eye, confidence in expressing an opinion about artwork for self-critique while they develop their new creative skills, and learn the language of the art industry at an early age, which is normally unheard of and will put them in a category, which is unusually advanced, personalized, and progressive.
As artists continue through the program, they will build upon information learned in previous class sessions and subjects as they develop their individual creative voices.
The program is intended as one of accumulated knowledge building upon prior sessions. Each class will include: the new information to focus on as a skill, lesson of the day, discussion, and demonstration, ending with a class critique and area to individually focus on.
