Experiment with a variety of materials and techniques in this class aimed to elicit creativity, autonomy, and fun! Each week, Breanna will introduce a new material, including acrylic paint,
watercolor, clay, yarn, and magazine/ newspaper clippings. During the last week, participants will work with the materials that they enjoyed the most! Breanna will guide each session,
while encouraging individuals to enjoy the process of engaging with each material.

Learn the basics of weaving on a hand loom while experimenting with a variety of weaving materials. Breanna will provide 1:1 support throughout the session, guiding each individual on their weaving experience, while encouraging participants to enjoy the meditative process.

Saturday, March 8 | 11 am - 12pm

Enjoy a creative Saturday morning with peers and collage! Participants are welcome to bring their own materials, including magazines, newspapers, or photographs, however, materials will also be provided. Individuals will learn a variety of collage techniques, and have the opportunity to chat with their peers, providing an opportunity to be creative while socializing!

Breanna Kircher

Breanna Kircher is a licensed Art Therapist, passionate about working alongside children and adults with developmental disabilities. Breanna previously worked at LAND Gallery in Brooklyn where she engaged with the artists in a supportive and fun manner—always encouraging spontaneous dancing throughout the day. She’s a firm believer in emphasizing process over final product and, most importantly, enjoying the creative journey. Breanna hopes to bring the joys of visual arts to all who are interested at the Middletown Arts Center.
