We are proud to introduce this academy-style, progressive visual arts program, led by Master artist Elizabeth Schettini Sowell-Zak, MFA . Learn Drawing, Printmaking, Painting, and Sculpture with creative hands-on experience, as students are guided through the foundational pillars of Fine Art principals, techniques, and language, which is often glossed over by artists with less understanding. This program is designed to give artists a more discerning eye, confidence in expressing an opinion about artwork for self-critique while they develop new creative skills, and learn the language of the art industry at an individualized adult level. As artists continue through the program, they will build upon information learned in previous class sessions and subjects as they develop their individual creative voices. Within each age group, skill level and challenges will increase.
The program is intended as one of accumulated knowledge building upon prior sessions. Each class will include: the new information to focus on as a skill, lesson of the day, discussion, and demonstration, ending with a class critique (and practice suggestions.)
